About the Project
Come Together is a Smutty Comic Anthology of European Creators which will be Kickstarting a softback comic of original erotica Spring/Summer 2019.
Our theme for the Anthology is Reunion
Reunited lovers, old friends, long-time enemies, high school reunions…weird symbiote fucky monsters joining their old hosts…?
Interpret it how you will.
Submissions will be opening December 10th, and will be open to any creative team that has at least one member who comes from, lives in, or has lived in a European Country. (And is over 18, duh.)
We started this project because many of us are minorities, queers, and other outliers who find our porn political anyway, so we might as well be up front about it.
Because in a world that feels more and more divided, it felt like it was time for more people to…come together.
Behind the project
Tab Kimpton has 6 successful comic kickstarter projects to his name, including Dinky Award Nominated Minority Monsters and the super sexy, super British, Sir, Butler and Boy. He’ll be behind the admin of the project, dealing with printers, shipping and taxes. Also on twitter here
Niki Smith is a creator of fine comics (and some pretty trashy ones too). An American artist who now calls Germany home, Niki lives in Munich with her wife. Her debut graphic novel, CROSSPLAY, is a smutty story about friends, feelings, and fandom. Also on twitter here
Submissions
We’re looking for European comic artists and teams to submit proposals for short 8-16 page smutty stories along our theme “Reunion”.
What do we want?
Diverse erotic stories exploring the theme of “Reunion”. Reunited lovers, old friends, long-time enemies, high school reunions…weird symbiote fucky monsters joining their old hosts…
Comics only, no prose
Stories that explore sex/relationships in ways you rarely see in mainstream porn.
Submissions especially from women, POC, LGBT+, disabled, and other marginalised creators from all over Europe.
Basically work that shows people from different walks of life… coming together.
What do I need to be to qualify?
Over 18 (duh)
Can accept a bank transfer or paypal payment.
Be able to finish an 8-16 page smutty comic ready for our anthology Kickstarter launching Spring/Summer 2019.
You or one of your team must come from, live in or previously lived in a European country.
What’s the deal?
£40 per page rate with potential bonuses with Kickstarter stretch goals. (If you’re a team it’s up to you to split your money yourselves)
5 free comp copies of the book, plus you can buy more at 50% retail to sell yourself.
We want exclusive publishing rights for 1 year, then you can do what you want with your story.
Payment after successful funding of the book Kickstarter. If funding is unsuccessful we’ll use digital sales to make sure everyone gets paid instead.
About the book
UK Standard size (240x157mm or 9.5×6 inches)
Colour palette based around EU blue (Pantone 661c) throughout to make it more cohesive for the readers, while allowing artists freedom to include other colours of their choice.
Stories predominantly in English or understandable for an English reader. While it seems silly to have a European book only in English, that’s the language we’re most experienced marketing to.
Length TBC. We want a range of 10-20 artists but it depends on the length of stories submitted.
