So, adorable story, but also a warning for any unaware trans readers out there:

One, please, do not use homemade binders. It is not worth risking your safety and well being. Save up until you can afford a proper binder that you can count on not to injure you. I know that it sucks. Trust me, been there. But, however awful your body may be, it contains you, and you’re too important to harm. Okay? I will say, a slightly too small sports bra and the right layering can do a lot of good in the lack of better options.

On that note, two, even with a proper binder. Do not bind while engaging in strenuous activity. This also sucks. In my case it means I don’t really exercise out of my room and pretty much only go hiking with other trans people. Same little bit as before though. You are too important to risk hurting.

Don’t get me wrong, the comic is great and in-universe this all fits the storyline and is a super sweet little interaction between Tom and Charlie. It’s just important to get information out there about how to bind safely. Take care of yourselves, friends.
