Paypal donations can’t get added to the Kickstarter total but pledgers will receive the exact same  items.

An alternative that many people use is to purchase a prepaid credit card instead.
Please note you need to make sure the gift card has at least £1 more on it than the amount of the pledge.
Example: You have a £25 gift card and you pledge £25 to a project. Right before collecting the funds, a £1 ping is processed. Temporarily, you only have £24 on the card. Then, they try to collect the £25 dollar pledge, but it gets declined because the card only has £24 on it and the £1 does not get released quickly enough.
