Steve’s dad… celebrates his xx wedding anniversary?
intimidates his daughter’s date?
does volunteer work?
rescues a kitten from a tree?
has to break up a fight in gym class? (He’s the PE teacher, right?)
Steve’s dad could do all the dad things – caring for and encouraging everyone, having always an open ear, but also insisting on the few sensible family rules and giving a firm scolding, if nessessary.
Repairing playthings (or the sink, swearing). Laughing himself silly at some series with children everywhere and playing with all the neighbours kids.
And, as he is THE DAD, he should have a hobby and – yes, really! – a love life.
But if he resembles any human parent everywhere, at the end of a long day he will nap on the couch, while family life around him is in full swing.
Fantastic drawings, Tab, by the way!
Was anyone else reminded of “Regular Ordinary Swedish Mealtime” for this? I’d you’re not, find it on YouTube, it’s funny, and shows this almost perfectly. Maybe more angst, anger and hardcore metal, but it’s funny.

I was thinking more along the lines of Epic Tea Time with Alan Rickman myself. But after looking up your link, yep, that does seem a better fit. :)
