This is still one of my favorite moments of growth. Like, damn, that is such a change in Jamie’s behavior and it was exactly the right answer, I think.

this is such a disgusting comment. did you not read his whole story? if i’m honest, this comment from him seems extremely out of character. After all, he was the one that helped charlie come out of her shell and stood by her as she felt more comfortable with being the girl she was to the world.
This page really felt like it was forced to show growth from jamie, but i dont think it was needed. Instead, Tom should’ve said something like “This doesn’t make you gay, you know that right?!” in a prickly tone. Jamie could’ve given his same response to show that he already knows that. This would’ve been MUCH more in character for Tom. Because prickly asshole-ish behavior comes from a place of protecting charlie and other minority groups/his friends from bullies.
Anyway, the transphobia from this comment reeks, even if it is from 2015.
